Global Visitor Tree Lighting and Dedication

The living tree honors the 53,000 visitors from 158 countries who have come to the museum to learn about Bill's childhood.  It is a focal point of the memorial garden with large ornaments for each of the 158 countries.  Our tree is presented in an ecumenical spirit to coincide with the dark days of winter when people put aside their differences and gather toward warmth and light.

It is a visual arts presentation inspired by Clinton's Global Initiative.  Various artists collaborate in decorating the tree to highlight areas of abundance and poverty around the world, and the importance of diplomacy, communication and compassion to create a more peaceful and healthy world.

The Global Visitor Tree remains decorated until January 6th.
